Welcome to Ethiopia! After a warm greeting at the airport, explore the lively streets of Addis Ababa. Visit museums, admire jacaranda-lined avenues, and dive into Merkato—the largest open-air market in Africa.
Travel through dramatic highland landscapes, passing farmlands and the lush Tarmaher Pass. Overnight in the gateway town of Dessie.
En route to Lalibela, stop at Lake Estifanos and visit the historic Hayq Estifanos Monastery—an ancient center of worship and scholarship. Enjoy lake views or take a boat ride.
Step into Ethiopia’s spiritual soul. Explore the first group of Lalibela’s UNESCO-listed rock churches, carved directly into the mountainside. Highlights include Biete Medhane Alem and Biete Giyorgis. Enjoy dinner at Ben Abeba with panoramic views.
