Begin your Ethiopian journey with a scenic drive north from Addis Ababa. Stop at the dramatic Blue Nile Gorge and visit the historic Debre Libanos monastery, nestled in a canyon over 700 meters deep.
Take a boat trip on Lake Tana to visit historic monasteries, including Ura Kidane Mihret. In the afternoon, hike to the roaring Blue Nile Falls (Tissisat), where mist and rainbows add magic to the landscape.
