The company

Powered by Ayzoh!

Ayzoh! Ethiopia Tours proudly belongs to the Ayzoh! ecosystem: an Italian-based, global organization of explorers,  photographers, filmmakers, writers, travel designers, and social researchers committed to social justice through storytelling. Ayzoh! amplifies the voices of marginalized communities worldwide, ensuring your Ethiopian journey supports this greater vision, bridging cultures, protecting dignity, and advocating for meaningful change.

More Than Travel: A Journey of Impact

Ayzoh! Ethiopia Tours isn’t just another travel company: we are a purpose-driven enterprise — powered by Ayzoh! — built on authenticity, friendship, and genuine social impact. Our journeys go beyond sightseeing, directly benefiting communities, preserving heritage, and creating transformative experiences. We merge responsible travel with genuine cultural exchanges, ensuring every trip leaves a meaningful legacy.

A True Social Enterprise

While many speak about sustainable tourism, we live it. Every journey booked with Ayzoh! Ethiopia Tours actively funds projects that empower communities, promote education, support local artisans, and protect Ethiopia’s natural and cultural treasures. Traveling with us isn’t tourism—it’s social investment in action.

Why We're Different

In a market crowded with claims of sustainability, we stand apart through transparency, tangible action, and measurable impact. Our partnerships are real, deeply rooted in mutual respect and trust. With Ayzoh! Ethiopia Tours, responsible tourism isn’t a slogan; it’s our DNA, reflected in every aspect of our operations.

Mission

Our Vision

We recognize the evolving challenges in tourism and are committed to creating travel experiences that are environmentally responsible and socially equitable. Our mission is to ensure tourism becomes a force for positive change, connecting travelers thoughtfully with Ethiopia’s most remote communities to strengthen — not disrupt — their cultural integrity.

Goal

Our aim is to redefine travel in Ethiopia by transforming each journey into meaningful engagement that empowers local communities, protects biodiversity, and celebrates cultural heritage. Through genuine cultural exchanges, mindful environmental practices, and tangible community investments, we are committed to setting a new standard for ethical and sustainable tourism.
The founders

Amlaku Yaregal Teshome: From Baregota to Trailblazer

Amlaku was born in Baregota, a remote Ethiopian village near Lalibela. Determined to pursue education, at age 12, he left home alone, balancing school with odd jobs, initially sleeping on the streets. His resilience transformed a chance encounter with a New Zealand traveler into a university education, agricultural projects benefiting his village, and a distinguished career in sustainable tourism.

Claudio Maria Lerario: Photographer, Storyteller, Humanist

Since childhood, Claudio dreamed of being a nomadic storyteller. Born in Genoa, Italy, his early years as a sailor and illustrator eventually led him into professional photography. Disillusioned with commercial success, Claudio refocused his lens on human dignity, founding Ayzoh! to collaborate directly with marginalized communities through authentic storytelling and transformative projects worldwide.

A Friendship That Built a Vision

The friendship between Claudio and Amlaku, born from mutual respect and shared values, is the heartbeat of Ayzoh! Ethiopia Tours.

Their bond bridges two worlds — storytelling and sustainable tourism — creating a unique collaboration driven by authenticity, integrity, and a profound commitment to meaningful impact on local communities and cultures.

Our team

The Ayzoh! Ethiopia Team

Our passionate team is made up of travel designers, experienced local guides, skilled drivers, photographers, researchers, and dedicated coordinators who understand and embody our values of integrity, compassion, and excellence.

Each member is personally invested in ensuring your journey is authentic, comfortable, and deeply meaningful, making every tour unforgettable for both travelers and local communities.

Collaborations & Partnerships

Ayzoh! Ethiopia Tours actively collaborates with like-minded organizations across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe. These partnerships enrich our vision, enabling mutual learning and exchange of best practices.

By joining forces with diverse global initiatives, we continuously evolve, fostering deeper impact and inspiring collective progress toward truly responsible, culturally sensitive, and transformative tourism.
